A thriving multidiscipline engineering consultancy in Derby is seeking a Principal or Associate level Structural Engineer to lead complex, high-quality building projects and play a key role in the continued growth of the business.
You will work on a varied and technically challenging portfolio, including large mixed-use urban developments, taking full responsibility for projects from concept through delivery.
As a lead engineer, you will head design teams, act as a confident client-facing technical authority, and collaborate closely with architects, contractors, and junior engineers to deliver outstanding results.
This role will suit a natural technical leader who combines strong design expertise with commercial awareness and excellent communication skills. Experience with building structures, the design process, and industry-standard software such as Tedds and Tekla is essential. Chartered engineers are preferred, but our client will consider candidates with the necessary experience who are keen to gain Chartership.
The consultancy offers a modern, flexible working environment, a strong focus on work-life balance, and clear progression into senior management.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking Derby-based practice delivering ambitious projects and offering genuine long-term career development.
