The Geotechnical & Geoenvironmental Engineer delivers ground engineering, contaminated land, and geoenvironmental assessments to support infrastructure and complex project environments. Work includes ground investigations, modelling, risk assessment, and integrated design development with multidisciplinary teams.

• Production of geotechnical desk studies, ground investigation scopes, and testing specifications.
• Management and interpretation of ground investigation data and factual reports.
• Development of ground models using digital tools (e.g., Open Ground, Leapfrog).
• Derivation of geotechnical parameters and development of numerical models (e.g., PLAXIS) for soil‑structure interaction.
• Technical input to safety‑critical designs, including review of deliverables and integration of site‑specific solutions.
• Delivery and oversight of work packages with engineering partners and suppliers.
• Collaboration with structural, civil, hazards, hydrogeology, environmental, and other disciplines.
• Participation in design reviews, assurance activities, and resolution of engineering queries.
• Compliance with codes, standards, quality requirements, and CDM obligations.
• Authoring and reviewing technical reports, risk assessments, remediation strategies, and supporting documentation.
• Support for continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and mentoring.

• Degree‑qualified; working toward Chartered Engineer or Chartered Geologist status.
• Experience in geotechnical design for foundations, retaining walls, earthworks, slopes, and buried structures.
