  • Carry out face-to-face, telephone and e-mail communications between the MoD technical and safety cells, Rolls-Royce site offices and internal experts covering a wide scope of technical and project fields.
  • Manage all maintenance requirements identified by safety case and reliability studies and using engineering arguments, proactively challenge maintenance requirements to ensure that an optimised maintenance schedule is delivered.
  • Co-ordinate and manage design and improvement projects through a wide network of resources, by identifying and assessing improvements or opportunities.
  • Assess and manage changes to maintenance packages whilst ensuring minimal impact to the boat programme and retaining submarine safety.
  • Work with colleagues to identify improvements to current maintenance activities by utilising opportunities provided by data-driven analytics alongside traditional methods.
  • Manage changes to current activities using existing and new processes that could provide opportunities to optimise maintenance and support the SMRP.
