An exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Tax Manager or Senior Manager to join a growing corporate tax team within a leading accountancy and advisory firm. The successful candidate will focus on providing proactive corporation tax services to clients within the Creative, Media, and Technology sectors. This role offers a blend of tax compliance, advisory, and business development work, with the opportunity to lead client relationships and mentor junior staff.
This opportunity is perfect for a Business Tax Senior Manager, Business Tax Manager or Business Tax Assistant Manager ready for a new challenge. A CMT background would be ideal but not essential.
Please note that a CTA qualification is essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities- Manage corporation tax compliance for a diverse portfolio of corporate clients, including standalone entities and international groups.
- Provide high-quality tax advisory support across areas such as corporate structuring, reorganisations, R&D tax relief, group tax planning, share schemes, and international tax matters.
- Prepare and review tax due diligence reports, assist with corporate acquisitions and disposals, and support clients with exit planning.
- Identify and implement tax‑efficient opportunities, working closely with partners to deliver commercial outcomes.
- Oversee billing, budgeting, and workflow management within the team.
- Line manage and mentor junior team members, supporting their professional development and performance reviews.
- Participate in business development activities including networking events, preparing proposals, and contributing to marketing initiatives.
- CTA and/or ACA qualified (or equivalent experience).
- Demonstrable experience managing a portfolio of corporate tax clients, including complex groups.
- Strong technical knowledge across a range of corporation tax and advisory areas.
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills with clients and colleagues at all levels.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); familiarity with Alphatax advantageous.
- A proactive, detail-oriented approach with a commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
