This pivotal role sits within our dedicated Retail Cost team, offering a unique opportunity to gain exposure across a crucial area of financial operations. You will take full responsibility for managing the fixed asset register and project accounting, driving precision and support across the business.

• Fixed Asset Register Management:
  Take full responsibility for the register, collaborating closely with our external system provider to ensure the system is utilised effectively.
• Financial Reporting & Analysis:
  Manage period-end transactions, including additions, disposals, depreciation, revaluations, and impairment charges. You will provide clear balance sheet reconciliations, monthly actual figures, and forecasts for the entire Group to support strategic decision-making.
• Risk & Opportunity Tracking:
  Highlight potential financial risks and opportunities within your scope, managing any discrepancies to ensure issues are fully understood and resolved.
• Process Improvement:
  Identify opportunities to streamline processes and enhance control environments within the Retail Cost team.
• Year End Audit:
  Play a critical role in the year-end close process, preparing supporting data for annual statutory accounts and liaising directly with external auditors.

• Qualifications:
  
  CIMA, ACCA, or ACA qualified.
• Technical
  
  Skills:
  
  Advanced Excel skills and strong IT literacy are essential.
• Analytical Thinking:
  The ability to interpret complex data and communicate insights with total clarity.
• Organisation:
  Outstanding attention to detail along with the planning skills needed to prioritise your workload and meet critical timescales.
