Overview

Lead a team of Risk Pricing Analysts to deliver profit and growth targets for underwriting through adjustments to risk pricing models.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver new insights, integrating new data, analytical techniques, and new ways of working.
  • Identify opportunities to improve risk pricing models to expand competitive footprint or rectify unprofitable segments.
  • Lead Risk Pricing projects and project teams to generate value for the wider business.
  • Develop key risk pricing tools and approaches.
  • Support and coach risk pricing analysts through peer reviews, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Ensure customers receive fair and reasonable outcomes, challenging processes that do not meet these expectations.
  • Complete all mandatory training as per company and FCA regulations.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Comfortable working with numerical/statistical data.
  • Good skills in statistical or data manipulation packages, with aptitude for advanced skill-building.
  • Pro-active approach to driving change.
  • Critical evaluation of information.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confidence to express opinions and challenge.
  • Pricing/analytics experience in the financial services sector.
  • Basic knowledge of the insurance market and competitors.
  • Good understanding of underwriting principles.
