Salary: £30-35k per annum
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (flexible working hours)
Location: Remote - occasional in-person meetings with Finance team - ideally based Wiltshire/Dorset/Hampshire - UK
Contract: Fixed-Term Maternity Cover (12 Months)
Start Date: Ideally October 2026
Luxury Family Hotels is a collection of exceptional family-focused hotels, offering memorable experiences in beautiful locations across the UK. We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our Central Finance Team on a 12-month maternity cover contract.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong purchase ledger experience who enjoys working independently within a supportive and collaborative finance team.
Reporting to the Group Finance Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the purchase ledger function across the business.
Key Responsibilities- Processing high volumes of supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
- Managing supplier accounts and resolving invoice queries
- Performing daily bank reconciliations
- Preparing and processing BACS payment runs
- Completing credit card reconciliations
- Reconciling supplier statements
- Ensuring all financial records are maintained accurately and in a timely manner
- Assisting with month-end processes as required
- Supporting the wider finance team with ad hoc finance administration duties
- Previous experience in a Purchase Ledger or Accounts Payable position
- Strong Excel skills, including the ability to work confidently with formulas and spreadsheets
- Experience using finance/accounting systems and the ability to learn new systems quickly
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organisational and time management skills
- The ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills and a professional approach when dealing with suppliers and colleagues
- Experience with bank reconciliations, BACS payments and credit card reconciliations
