Finance Business Partner – Stores & Supply Chain
Leicester | £57,000 + up to 25% bonus | Hybrid, two days from home
Are you looking for a proper business partner role — one where you're actually sat with the people making the decisions, not producing numbers for someone else to interpret after the fact?
This is a retailer turning over around £300 million, growing both organically and through acquisition, and you'd be embedded directly alongside the leaders running the store estate and the supply chain behind it.
You'll pull apart store profitability, labour productivity and contribution by region and format, get into warehouse, transport and distribution costs, and use all of it to challenge and support operational teams on hitting budget. You'll lead the budgeting and forecasting for your areas and build the business cases behind new store openings, refurbishments and automation projects — the kind of work that gets seen and gets used, not filed.
What makes this one worth a proper look is the progression. The CFO has built a reputation for developing people and handing over real autonomy rather than keeping decisions at the top, and the team here has excellent retention — people don't tend to leave, because there's somewhere to go. If you're good at this, that gets noticed and acted on.
Ideally you'll be coming from a commercial or retail background, comfortable with the pace and the cost drivers that come with it, and qualified — ACA, ACCA or CIMA. You'll need to be someone who can build a financial model and then walk an operational leader through it in language that actually lands.
Based in Leicester, two days from home with no fixed office days — the week flexes around you rather than the other way round. £57,000 plus a bonus of up to 25%, and 30 days holiday that increases with service.
