Are you a qualified finance professional looking for an opportunity to influence healthcare transformation at a regional level?

The East Midlands Cancer Alliance (EMCA) is seeking an experienced Finance Business Partner to provide strategic financial leadership across a wide-ranging portfolio of cancer improvement programmes.

This is an exciting opportunity to work across one of England's largest Cancer Alliances, partnering with Integrated Care Boards, NHS provider Trusts and NHS England to ensure that millions of pounds of investment deliver measurable improvements in cancer services and patient outcomes. The role has a particular focus on the management and assurance of Service Development Funding (SDF), ensuring investment is effectively deployed to deliver national cancer priorities and system-wide transformation.

As the Finance Business Partner, you will become the trusted financial adviser to the East Midlands Cancer Alliance leadership team, supporting strategic decision-making through expert financial planning, governance and assurance.

Working closely with Senior Programme Managers, clinical leaders, finance colleagues and system partners, you will ensure that financial investment is aligned with programme delivery, performance improvement and benefits realisation.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading financial planning, forecasting and assurance across EMCA programmes.
• Providing expert financial advice to support strategic investment decisions.
• Overseeing Service Development Funding (SDF) across the East Midlands.
• Monitoring programme expenditure, financial performance and delivery against plans.
• Identifying financial risks and developing mitigation strategies.
• Supporting financial governance and regional assurance processes.

About you

We're looking for an experienced finance leader who can combine strong technical expertise with excellent stakeholder engagement skills.

You'll have:

• CCAB or CIMA professional qualification with current membership of a recognised professional body.
• Significant post-qualification experience in financial management within a complex organisation.
