Working Pattern:
Part‑time hours (up to 15 hours per week) with bank positions available.
Salary:
Band 2.0, £23,875 per annum (pro‑rata).
At DHU Healthcare, we support patients in their homes and local communities. As a Community Healthcare Assistant, you will provide hands‑on care under the guidance of our Community Nursing team, helping to deliver personalised treatment, record vital signs, support with clinical tasks, promote wellbeing and ensure equipment is ready for use on the move. You'll work independently in the community while being supported by experienced colleagues.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver personalised treatment to patients in the community.
- Record vital signs, observations and other clinical data.
- Support with clinical tasks, such as wound management, catheter care, medication support and wellbeing monitoring.
- Maintain and prepare equipment for safe use during visits.
- Collaborate with nurses, allied health professionals and support staff to provide patient‑centred care.
- Experience as a healthcare assistant or similar role (preferred but not mandatory).
- Good understanding of clinical procedures and patient safety.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
