Zest Optical are working alongside a growing independent Opticians in Leicester to recruit a Part-Time Optical Assistant. This is a great opportunity to join a friendly, community-focused team, working across two practices just four miles apart, both committed to providing personalised, high-quality eye care.

This role is for 2 days per week, with Tuesday being a fixed working day and one additional midweek day to be agreed. There will also be the opportunity to pick up additional holiday cover if desired.

• Working across two well-established independent practices in Leicester, just four miles apart

  9.00am-5.30pm
• Welcoming patients and providing a first-class customer experience
• Supporting the Optometrists and wider team with the day-to-day running of the practices
• Advising patients on suitable frames and lenses
• Handling contact lens enquiries and orders
• Assisting with remote edging and working with Essilor lenses
• Helping maintain the presentation of a carefully selected range of designer and everyday eyewear
• Hourly rate - £12.71 - Chance to increase in the future

• Previous experience working as an Optical Assistant is essential
• Confident dispensing spectacles and providing excellent patient care
• Comfortable working across two practices
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Passion for community-focused care and building long-term patient relationships
• Professional, approachable and enjoys working as part of a close-knit team
