Job summary

Clinical Governance Lead Leicester Hospital | Nursing | Permanent contract | Full time | Up to £60,000 per annum depending on experience 37.5 hours per week
- Part time could be considered (around 30 hours plus)

As our Clinical Governance Lead, you will:

• Champion the organisation's brand values
• Drive the continuous improvement
• Data quality and data analysis capabilities
• Reporting and escalation processes i.e. Board and Incident Reporting; in order to guide our Quality learning and decision-making
• Work alongside other Senior Clinical and Medical Leaders, lead the delivery of Quality Assurance and improvement activity, including delivery of systems which support clinical effectiveness, patient safety, regulatory compliance, customer feedback and professional development
• Lead on the development, review and oversight of Clinical Policies and SOPs, ensuring that the clinical policy catalogue is effectively managed
• Provide advice, guidance and subject matter expertise on governance processes to all those involved in the leadership of clinical care
• Support the maintenance and achievement of clinical and/or organisational accreditation e.g. ISO
  9001, contributing to, and facilitating successful certification

Nuffield Health Leicester Hospital

Founded in 1969, Nuffield Health Leicester Hospital was originally built from funds raised by the local community and is now one of the leading providers of private healthcare in Leicestershire. The Hospital has a strong local reputation with patients remaining loyal. The Hospital had a £4.5 million refurbishment in 2011 and was the blue print for the wider Hospitals refresh programme.

The Hospital has 28 ensuite inpatient beds, 2 Laminar flow theatres, Endoscopy Suite, minor treatment room and 14 consulting rooms. The hospital delivers a wide variety of inpatient and outpatient treatments and services using the best possible technologies. Since 2015 we have invested in a static MRI unit, a new digital X ray room & digital mammography. We are a local centre of excellence for Children and Young People Services.

Having a Fitness & Wellbeing Gym in Leicester has led to a close working relationship and the Hospital was a forerunner for the Nuffield recovery plus programme.

The Hospital has been rated as a 'Good' hospital by the CQC and achieved this rating across the 5 key lines of enquiry across all departments inspected.

As our Clinical Governance Lead at our Leicester Hospital, you will provide strong clinical leadership and scrutiny of all matters relating to the Quality of all clinical care delivery. This role will work alongside Senior Clinical Leaders and key stakeholders across the organisation to facilitate clinical excellence, impact and fulfilment of Nuffield Health's charitable purpose. You will be a registered Clinician (NMC, HCPC or GPC) and be educated up to degree/post graduate level in a clinical discipline.

You will also have the relevant qualifications in organisational governance e.g. ISO
9001 Auditor or equivalent. In addition, we are looking for someone who can demonstrate senior leadership within the healthcare sector, with significant experience in clinical governance and quality assurance. You will have excellent communication skills with strong attention to detail and be able to work proactively and efficiently.
