Job overview

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join a growing Neuropsychology Service within this centre of excellence for Neurosciences.

You will work with patients with neurological conditions at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This may include patients seen in our Memory Clinic, Neuropsychology Outpatients Clinics, Neurosurgical Clinics, Neurosurgical Theatres, the Major Trauma Unit and the Stroke and Rehabilitation Wards.

Main duties of the job

Our department sits within the Neurosciences Directorate and we see patients aged 16 and over with the full range of neurological disorders, including dementia, Multiple Sclerosis, epilepsy, Parkinson’s disease, brain tumours and brain injury.

You will join a team of qualified and Assistant Clinical Psychologists to deliver highly specialist neuropsychological and psychological assessment, formulation and intervention, and offer advice, consultation and training to non-psychologist colleagues. The post would suit a Clinical Psychologist who is interested in working in an acute hospital setting and who enjoys working with patients with complex neurological and neuropsychological symptoms. It would also suit someone who is looking to further their neuropsychological knowledge and skills.

You will be part of an expanding and highly regarded Neuropsychology Service which is led by two Consultant Clinical Psychologists. We offer strong links with regional clinical and academic networks, with a commitment to continuing professional development and research. We have strong ties with the University of East Anglia Clinical Doctorate programme. Third Year trainee Clinical Psychologists are welcome to apply.
