An exciting opportunity for a 12-month secondment/fixed-term post has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated pharmacist to join NHS Forth Valley Pharmacy Services in a unique senior role spanning the COVID Ultra High Risk Pathway and wider Acute Clinical Pharmacy Services.

The post holder will provide cover for the pharmacist-led COVID Ultra High Risk Pathway, delivering specialist clinical assessment, prescribing and treatment advice for high-risk patients. Alongside this, the post holder will support wider acute clinical pharmacy services and medicines governance initiatives, contributing to service delivery, quality improvement and patient safety across NHS Forth Valley.

• Deliver pharmacist-led COVID Ultra High Risk Pathway services.
• Provide specialist clinical assessment, prescribing and treatment advice for high-risk patients.
• Support wider acute clinical pharmacy services and medicines governance initiatives.
• Contribute to audit, quality improvement, service development and patient safety activities.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes.
• Support the delivery and development of high-quality clinical pharmacy services across acute care settings.

We are seeking a pharmacist who:

• Has strong clinical and leadership skills.
• Is an Independent Prescriber (or working towards this).
• Has experience in advanced clinical pharmacy practice.
• Is proactive, adaptable and able to work across multiple specialist areas.
• Is passionate about improving patient care and developing services.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to further develop advanced clinical practice, leadership and service development skills within a supportive and forward-thinking pharmacy team. You will gain experience in specialist patient pathways, service improvement and medicines governance while contributing to the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care across NHS Forth Valley.
