Position

To play a key role in providing an efficient and effective HR support service to the Go Inspire Group. Act as the first line contact on all people‑related issues; advise and assist line managers and employees with accurate and consistent support, ensuring that empathetic and professional assistance is always given. This role will be the key escalation point for operational HR.

Responsibilities
  • Manage staff relationships by acting as the first point of contact for line managers and employees, resolving queries or problems and ensuring that expectations are managed.
  • Oversee the HR Advisory function across the group (Leicester and Kettering), acting as an escalation point for any queries.
  • Coordinate Occupational Health arrangements for shopfloor staff, including referrals, medical advice coordination, and implementation of recommended workplace adjustments in collaboration with line managers.
  • Advise on various HR and employee relation queries throughout the site, including disciplinaries, grievances, appeals, long‑term sickness, attendance and absence management, inclusive of all administration.
  • Assist managers and employees in the interpretation and implementation of company policies and procedures.
  • Support line managers with grievance and disciplinary investigations and hearings.
  • Ensure appropriate and consistent processes are implemented, including record keeping (i.e. HR records, eLearning & training, HR system) and the accurate and timely management of new starters and leavers.
  • Provide advice on change management initiatives; organisational and departmental restructures, job role design, TUPE transfers, redundancy, and empower delivery of great customer service.
  • Develop and deliver quarterly HR workshops to train and support the business in areas such as attendance management and performance management.
  • Manage and cascade an effective Learning & Development programme across the group, working with our parent company.
  • Project‑manage and successfully conclude the end‑to‑end cycle of assigned HR projects.
  • Review KPIs and HR data to identify trends and areas of improvement.
  • Ensure adherence to the General Data Protection Regulations, the Immigration and Asylum Act, Anti‑Slavery, Anti‑Bribery, Gender Pay Gap, and all other relevant legal requirements and always look for ways to streamline the process while maintaining high accuracy and control.
Requirements
  • In addition to the above, you may be required to carry out any other duties within your reasonable competence.
Experience
  • CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent experience in practice).
  • Strong, up‑to‑date knowledge of UK employment law.
  • Proven experience in a generalist HR advisory role, handling complex employee relations cases.
  • Ability to provide clear, confident, and balanced HR advice.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of discretion and confidentiality.
  • Experience with in a multi‑site, operational, or shopfloor environment.
