We’re working with a well‑established business in Leicester who are looking for an HR Manager to take ownership of their HR function. This HR Manager role is varied and hands‑on, giving you the chance to be involved in everything from employee relations through to supporting managers with practical, straightforward advice. As the HR Manager, you’ll also manage and support an HR Administrator, so this would suit someone who enjoys developing others alongside their own workload.
You’ll be someone who enjoys building strong relationships across the business and is comfortable getting stuck into the detail when needed - a key part of being a successful HR Manager in this environment.
- Acting as the main point of contact for all HR matters across the business
- Supporting managers with day‑to‑day HR queries and providing clear, practical guidance
- Managing employee relations cases including absence, performance, disciplinaries and grievances
- Overseeing recruitment, onboarding, vetting and probation processes
- Reviewing and updating HR policies and procedures
- Making sure everything is in line with current employment legislation
- Line managing and supporting an HR Administrator
- Keeping HR records accurate and supporting with reporting where needed
- Previous experience in a generalist HR role, ideally at Advisor or Manager level
- Some experience of managing or mentoring others would be useful
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment such as manufacturing or similar
- CIPD qualification would be helpful but isn’t essential
- Confident supporting and advising managers in a clear, down‑to‑earth way
- Organised, approachable and happy to take ownership of your workload
