In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.
Your role and responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a background in financial services to join our team. In this role, you will lead cross-functional project teams, fostering effective collaboration, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring high-quality software delivery.
As a Project Manager, you will be accountable for delivering projects within defined scope, cost, and timelines, while meeting business requirements and contractual obligations. Your expertise in financial services will be key to understanding industry-specific challenges, regulatory considerations, and stakeholder expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage projects and maintain comprehensive project plans.
- Identify and track the critical path of programmes to ensure timely delivery.
- Gather and document requirements, coordinate design activities, plan delivery, and motivate teams to meet objectives within set time frames.
- Oversee Product Lifecycle governance, ensuring all relevant teams are engaged and risks are identified, documented, and addressed.
- Monitor project costs and resources, tracking actuals against budget.
- Balance delivery trade-offs across time, cost, and quality constraints.
- Identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies; perform analysis on value at risk and develop mitigation strategies.
