About the Role
We’re looking for a Modern Workplace Infrastructure Engineer to play a central role in shaping and supporting our modern IT environment.
This is a hands‑on technical role
. You’ll configure Intune, manage policies, deploy packages, and maintain cloud services while continuously improving workplace technology.
- Modern Workplace & Cloud Management
- Deploy, configure, and optimise Microsoft 365, Intune, Defender, and Azure services
- Own device management, policy configuration, and application deployment via Intune
- Continuously improve performance, security, and user experience across workplace technologies
- Virtualisation & Cloud Infrastructure
- Implement and support Azure Virtual Desktop & Windows 365 environments
- Monitor and maintain cloud infrastructure for reliability and scalability
- Network & Infrastructure
- Design, configure, and troubleshoot network environments
- Manage and optimise firewall and switching technologies
- Ensure infrastructure is secure, efficient, and high‑performing
- System Administration
- Manage operating systems (Windows 11, Windows Server, iOS, macOS)
- Maintain device compliance, patching, and configuration standards
- Handle escalations from the support team
- AI & Automation
- Support AI pilot projects and initiatives
- Develop automation and scripting solutions (Power Shell or similar)
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and reduce manual effort
- Security & Resilience
- Implement and maintain security controls across endpoints and cloud platforms
- Support backup and disaster recovery solutions
- Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A)
- Support integration of systems and infrastructure from acquired organisations
- Align new environments with our standards and practices
- User Support & Documentation
- Provide technical support and guidance to end‑users
- Create and maintain clear documentation and SOPs
- Experience with Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune, and Defender
- Solid understanding of virtualisation
- Strong knowledge of networking concepts and security practices
- Experience with firewall and switching technologies
- Experience managing Windows, iOS, and macOS environments
- Understanding of backup and disaster recovery strategies
- Proficiency in scripting or automation (Power Shell or similar)
- Exposure to M&A integrations or complex environments
- Experience with Copilot, Claude, or managing AI Agents
- Strong problem‑solver, enjoys detail
- Clear communicator with technical and non‑technical stakeholders
- Capable of managing own workload and contributing to project delivery
- Adaptable and comfortable working in a fast‑moving environment
