1st Line IT Support Engineer

We’re looking for a 1st Line IT Support Engineer to join our IT team at COBA Holdings in Fleckney.

This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to start or develop a career in IT. Previous commercial IT experience isn’t essential. What matters to us is that you have a genuine interest in technology, enjoy solving problems, communicate well with people and are keen to learn.

As our 1st Line IT Support Engineer, you’ll be one of the first points of contact for day-to-day IT support across the COBA Group, supporting colleagues both in the UK and internationally.

You’ll help keep our people connected and productive by providing support across a broad range of IT equipment, systems and applications.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Responding to IT queries and managing requests through our IT ticketing system.
• Troubleshooting hardware, software, application, account and connectivity issues.
• Supporting desktops, laptops, monitors, smartphones, printers and other workplace technology.
• Providing onsite and remote support to colleagues across the COBA Group.
• Supporting Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365, Office and Teams.
• Setting up equipment and access for new starters.
• Assisting with user accounts, passwords, permissions and new starter, mover and leaver processes.
• Gaining experience with Active Directory, Microsoft Entra , Exchange Online and Microsoft 365 administration.
• Carrying out routine IT checks and helping to maintain IT equipment, assets and consumables.
• Escalating more complex or security-related issues to the appropriate member of the IT team.

It would be great if you also have…

Any previous experience or knowledge of IT support, Microsoft 365, computer hardware, networking, Active Directory or Microsoft Entra  be useful, but these aren’t essential.

An IT or Computing qualification, apprenticeship or other technical training would also be an advantage. Don’t be put off if you don’t tick every box. We’re particularly interested in finding someone with the right attitude, aptitude and genuine enthusiasm for technology.

This role will give you exposure to a wide range of technologies and real-world IT support across an international Group. You’ll have the opportunity to build practical experience across user support, Microsoft 365, devices, networking, account administration and information security.
