Prosecutions Solicitor

Position: Prosecutions Solicitor (Contract)
Service Care Solutions is working in partnership with a local authority, based in Leicestershire, which is looking to recruit an experienced Prosecutions Solicitor to join their established legal team. This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor with a strong background in criminal prosecutions who is looking for a varied public sector role with a supportive and flexible working environment.

Role:
Prosecutions Solicitor – Local Authority

Location:

Leicester – hybrid
Umbrella Rate: £50 - £55ph
PAYE Inc. Rate: £44.10 - £48.44ph
Contract Length: 3 months ongoing

The Role
The successful candidate will undertake a predominantly prosecution-focused caseload, including:

Advocacy and case preparation in the Magistrates’ Court and Crown Court.
Managing a varied caseload of criminal prosecutions on behalf of the local authority.
Involvement in Tribunal and County Court matters, and work across other legal areas as required by the service.

Key Requirements:

3+ years of PQE in criminal prosecutions law as a solicitor in England and Wales (must have a current practicing certificate).
Confident advocate with experience in Magistrates’ and/or Crown Court.
Public sector or local authority experience is desirable but not essential.
