A leading national law firm with a strong presence in Leicester is seeking a talented and commercially focused Associate specialising in Real Estate with a focus on Residential Development to join a busy and expanding team. This role offers excellent exposure to high-quality development work and genuine opportunities for professional growth.
About the RoleAs an Associate in Residential Development, you will work on a varied caseload of transactional property matters that support house builders, developers, landowners, housing associations and local authorities. You will be involved in key stages of residential development deals, including:
- Acting on acquisitions and disposals of development sites
- Drafting and negotiating options, promotion and development agreements
- Advising on strategic land transactions and site assembly work
- Handling conditional and unconditional contracts, overages and related documentation
- Supporting clients through due diligence and title review
- Providing commercially-focused advice throughout the transaction lifecycle
Your role will involve liaising closely with senior lawyers and other specialists to ensure excellent service delivery and successful outcomes for clients.
About YouThe ideal candidate will bring:
- A qualified solicitor status in England and Wales
- Post-qualification experience in commercial real estate law, ideally with residential development exposure
- Strong drafting, negotiation and technical legal skills
- Excellent commercial awareness, attention to detail and organisational ability
- A proactive, client-focused approach with the ability to manage your own matters
- Confidence in working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and contributing to business development activities
This position is suitable for lawyers across mid-level PQE ranges, with flexibility on seniority depending on experience.
