Materials Scheduler

Overview

Role:
Ensure raw materials are available to meet customer requirements and line plans, maintain stock levels in line with budget, and support supply chain operations within a global packaging company.

• Forecast all raw material requirements based on short and long term production plans and system forecasts.
• Manage orders — raise and receipt POs for all purchases in line with the approved supplier list.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers; resolve delivery and invoice queries related to purchases.
• Report and review slow moving materials on a monthly basis.
• Reconcile stock across systems, ensuring accuracy and up-to-date data.
• Complete monthly stock checks and all month-end activities for raw materials, packaging, and chemicals.
• Monitor and report OTIF performance for all suppliers.
• Coordinate stock control and ordering of stretch wrap and strapping.
• Manage metal scrap removal, including coordinating collections and trailer exchanges.
• Order and manage packaging items to ensure the packaging pool supports demand.
• Provide cross-functional coverage as needed for production planning and capacity planning; regional support may be required.
• Travel may be required between Braunstone and Wisbech locations.

• Specialized knowledge / experience: Excellent MS Office Excel skills; ability to analyze and interpret data; ERP knowledge; end-to-end understanding of supply chain activities.
