Week Two 1pm – 9pm Monday‑Thursday; 8.30pm Friday

About the Role

Working as part of a friendly team, you will facilitate the effective delivery of County Council services by ensuring that premises/buildings are well‑maintained and secure for use by County Council staff, external clients and members of the public.

You will be responsible for, among other duties, the locking and unlocking of County Hall site, undertaking minor repairs, Health and Safety checks, setting up rooms, liaising with contractors and general upkeep of the building.

An enhanced DBS check is required for this post.

About You

To apply for this post you must have:

  • Relevant experience of undertaking DIY and maintenance
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy boxes and equipment in accordance with Health and Safety guidelines
  • Literacy – sufficient to read and understand instructions, deal accurately with diary sheet/claim forms and enter data on to IT software/portals
  • Excellent communication skills to report issues and communicate with the team and organisational skills
  • Willingness to attend site at any day or night to deal with an emergency
  • Assist with emergency evacuation of the building in the event of an incident
  • Ability to manage own workload and prioritise tasks
