Maintenance Operative

A Maintenance Operative is needed for a full-time, temporary position in Leicester, paying £12.71 per hour. Working Monday to Friday, you will choose between a 6:00am-2:00pm or 8:00am-4:00pm shift. This hands-on role involves general upkeep across the site, including repairs to fixtures, doors, and furniture, plus painting and decorating tasks. Basic plumbing duties and the use of hand and power tools are also required.

The Role:

We are looking for a reliable and hands-on Maintenance Operative to join a busy site in Leicester. This is a varied role suited to someone who is practical, proactive and enjoys getting stuck in. You will be responsible for carrying out general maintenance and repairs across the site, helping to keep the facilities safe, clean and running smoothly.

• Carry out general maintenance and repair tasks across the site
• Complete basic repairs to fixtures, fittings, doors and furniture
• Assist with painting, decorating and general upkeep
• Carry out basic plumbing and other minor repairs
• Use hand and power tools safely
• Identify and report any maintenance issues
• Keep work areas clean, tidy and organised
• Support the wider site team with general duties when required
• Follow all health and safety procedures

• Previous maintenance or handyman experience is desirable
• Practical and confident using basic tools
