Manpower UK is seeking a dependable School Caretaker to work on a temporary basis in Leicester, with pay up to £13.01 per hour. This role involves routine maintenance, ensuring classrooms, restrooms, and hallways remain clean and hygienic, plus regular safety inspections of the premises. You will also oversee outdoor spaces, including gardens, playgrounds, and sports fields. Prior experience in caretaking or maintenance, ideally within an educational setting, is preferred.

Strong organisational abilities and clear communication are essential. This position suits a proactive individual who can manage varied tasks independently. Further details regarding the working pattern will be discussed at application.

Manpower are currently seeking a reliable and proactive School Caretaker to join our client in LE5.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the school facilities are in excellent condition.
  • Oversee the cleaning of classrooms, restrooms, hallways, and common areas to maintain a hygienic environment.
  • C onduct regular inspections of the school premises to identify any safety hazards and implement corrective measures.
  • Maintain outdoor areas including gardens, playgrounds, and sports fields to ensure they are safe.
About you:
  • Previous experience in a caretaking or maintenance role, preferably within a school or educational setting.
  • Basic knowledge of maintenance.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff and students.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong attention to detail.
  • A commitment to maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for all.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to undertake a DBS check.
Hours and Pay:

£13.01 per hour 40 hours a week Standard working hours - 8 hours starting 08.30 - 16.30 per day Monday to Friday then will need to be flexible once trained to work between the hours of 6am-10pm - flexibility is required.
