Floormart Ltd is a family run flooring distributor, selling flooring related products to B2B customers nationally. After moving to a new 10,000 square ft facility, we now face unique challenges in our logistics so are looking for an experienced warehouse manager who can manage our logistics while our orders continuously grow exponentially.

Overview

We are seeking an experienced and driven Warehouse Manager to oversee daily warehouse operations within our organisation and proactively help us grow. As a rapidly expanding small business we need someone who can handle a very fast paced environment and is willing to have an all hands on deck attitude to lead our team through the problems that arise with expanding.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing inventory, supervising staff, and ensuring the efficient flow of goods through our supply chain. This role requires strong leadership skills, comprehensive knowledge of warehouse management systems, and a focus on continuous process improvement to optimise productivity and safety. The Warehouse Manager will play a pivotal role in maintaining operational excellence and supporting organisational growth.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee all aspects of warehouse operations, including purchasing, shipping, receiving, inventory management, and order fulfilment.
  • Supervise warehouse staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to ensure high standards of productivity and safety.
  • Coordinate with third-party logistics providers to optimise supply chain efficiency.
  • Implement process improvement initiatives to enhance workflow, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
  • Utilise ERP system Orderwise for inventory control, order processing, and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the warehouse environment.
  • Operate or oversee the operation of forklift trucks and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Develop strategies for shipping & receiving optimisation, including managing stock levels and order accuracy.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects aimed at increasing operational efficiency across all warehouse functions.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in warehouse management with a strong understanding of logistics, supply chain processes, and warehouse operations.
  • Supervising experience with the ability to lead teams effectively.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (Orderwise)
  • Familiarity with shipping & receiving procedures and inventory control techniques.
  • Certification or experience operating forklift trucks
  • Commitment to process improvement methodologies such as continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in managing complex logistics operations.
