Vice President of Engineering

Our client is a PE-backed member marketplace that has already delivered over £500M in member savings, and with ambitions firmly set on reaching £1B
, they are investing heavily in technology, scale, and innovation to power the next stage of growth.

With strong engineering foundations already in place, they are now looking for an exceptional Director of Engineering to elevate delivery performance, drive AI adoption across the organisation, and build a truly high-performing technology function.

This is a senior leadership opportunity with genuine influence and accountability. You’ll lead and develop a growing engineering organisation, improve operational maturity, strengthen leadership capability, and embed AI-first ways of working across the business.

Working closely with Product, Security, and Executive leadership, you’ll ensure engineering operates as a strategic commercial driver — not simply a delivery function.

This role is perfect for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys building operational excellence, and knows how to turn strong teams into consistently high-performing organisations.

• Proven experience leading engineering organisations through growth and transformation
• A track record of improving delivery performance, quality, and operational maturity
• Strong commercial awareness with the ability to balance pace, ROI, and engineering excellence
• Experience driving AI adoption and modern engineering practices at scale
• Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to coach, influence, and raise standards
