Key Responsibilities Manage and support a team, including supervision, appraisals, training, performance and absence management. Oversee staff rotas, annual leave, sickness and service cover. Manage case allocation, caseloads, risk assessments, safety planning and case recording. Carry out case audits and file reviews to maintain service quality and compliance. Develop effective working relationships with police, housing, health, children's services, courts and other partner agencies.
Represent the service at MARAC, safeguarding meetings and other multi-agency forums. Act as the organisation's Designated Safeguarding Lead, overseeing safeguarding for adults and children. Oversee refuge and safe accommodation, including referrals, occupancy, move-in/move-on processes and health and safety. Lead on data collection, monitoring, analysis and reporting for commissioners and funders. Develop and deliver training around domestic abuse, safeguarding, risk and trauma-informed practice.
Act as a super-user for the case management system and support staff with reporting and system use. Monitor service budgets and expenditure, working closely with the Finance Manager. Support funding applications, tenders and grant submissions. Contribute to service development, policy reviews and organisational planning. Support Domestic Homicide Reviews and other learning reviews, ensuring actions are implemented. Lead team meetings and reflective practice sessions.
About You You will have experience managing or supervising a team within domestic abuse, safeguarding, housing, social care or another relevant support service. You will have a strong understanding of:
Domestic abuse and coercive control Safeguarding adults and children Risk assessment and safety planning MARAC and multi-agency working Refuge and safe accommodation Housing-related support and health & safety Case management and quality assurance Data collection, analysis and reporting Commissioner and funder requirements Staff performance and absence management Budget management and financial procedures
Experience of managing IDVA, outreach, refuge, helpline, hospital-based or court-based domestic abuse services would be highly beneficial, as would experience within the voluntary sector. You will need to be confident managing a team, making decisions around safeguarding and risk, and working with a range of external agencies. Additional Information

Leicester, Leicestershire & Rutland Salary: £35,745 per annum
Hours:
37 hours per week
Working hours:
Monday–Thursday 9am–5pm, Friday 9am–4.30pm
Additional requirements:
Some evening and weekend work, including participation in an out of hours rota.
