The OpportunityDerby City Council is looking for a motivated School Organisation and Provision Officer to play a key role in helping our organisation deliver a first class admissions service for children and families across the city.
Working within the School Admissions Team, you will support the delivery of our statutory duties.
What you’ll be doing- Coordination of the In Year School application scheme for schools and academies
- Supporting families wishing to apply for a mid-year school place
- Helping to identify and track pupils without a school place
- Providing administrative support to various Teams across School Organisation and Provision
- Maintaining accurate records and supporting data returns
- Liaising closely with parents, schools, academies and internal teams such as the Inclusion and Attendance Team, SEND and Social Care
- Have strong administrative and ICT skills, with attention to detail in handling sensitive pupil data
- Be confident communicating with parents, carers and professionals in writing, by phone and in person
- Be well organised, able to prioritise work to meet statutory deadlines
- Enjoy working as part of a team and contributing to service improvements
