Weekend Maintenance Engineer

Due to increased orders, this aerospace manufacturing business in Leicester is looking for a weekend maintenance engineer to support a diverse team of CNC machines, tooling and robot cells. The role involves proactive and reactive maintenance, continuous improvement and safety initiatives, providing a challenging learning environment and secure employment.

• Respond to machine breakdowns and facility issues with professionalism and urgency
• Develop and support preventative maintenance schedules
• Work on continuous improvement projects
• Contribute to safety initiatives and facility improvement projects
• Work both independently and collaboratively in a shift‑based team
• Liaise with contractors while ensuring compliance with site policies

• Apprentice trained or a minimum of a Level 3 Engineering Qualification
• Strong maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience with CNC machinery (Siemens, Heidenhain, Fanuc)
• Knowledge of drives, pneumatics, and hydraulics
• Excellent fault‑finding and diagnostic skills
• Desirable: 18 th Edition wiring regulations
• Mechanical skills (e.g., spindle rebuilds, bearing replacements)

• 6 pm – 6 am Friday, Saturday & Sunday shifts
