MIG Welder Fabricator – Structural Steel

We are currently seeking an experienced MIG Welder Fabricator to join a well-established company specializing in structural steel. As part of a dedicated team, you will be responsible for fabricating and welding components for a range of construction and industrial projects. Key Responsibilities:

• Perform MIG welding on various structural steel components, ensuring high-quality, accurate welds

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and blueprints

• Fabricate steel parts and assemblies to exact dimensions and tolerances

• Ensure all welding work meets industry and safety standards

• Collaborate with fabricators and project managers to meet project timelines

• Perform quality checks and maintain a clean and safe working environment

• Assist with steel assembly, including preparing parts for welding and installation

Essential Skills and

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in MIG welding and structural steel fabrication

• Strong knowledge of reading technical drawings and blueprints

• Experience in fabricating steel structures, beams, columns, and other structural elements

• Excellent attention to detail and precision in welding work

• Understanding of welding safety practices and regulations

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Good physical condition to handle the demands of the role (lifting, bending, etc.)

Desirable:

• Previous experience in a similar structural steel or construction environment

• Welding certifications or relevant qualifications (e.g., City & Guilds, NVQ)
