Salary: £30,000 – £32,000 per annum (Negotiable DOE)

Hours:

Monday to Thursday, 07:00 – 17:15 (39 hours per week)

The Opportunity

We are recruiting a Quality Inspector to join a long-established engineering company in Leicester. We are open to applicants from both quality and welding backgrounds.

This role would be particularly suitable for a skilled welder who can read technical drawings and understands weld quality, but no longer wants to weld on a daily basis. The salary is negotiable depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities

* Visual and dimensional inspection of welded and fabricated components

* Using measuring tools such as verniers, callipers, gauges and other metrology equipment

* Checking parts against engineering drawings and customer specifications

* Accurately recording inspection results

* Working with production and welding teams to resolve quality concerns

* Ensuring products meet required standards before dispatch

* Keeping the inspection area tidy, safe and well organised

What We’re Looking For

* Previous experience in quality inspection or strong welding/fabrication experience

* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

* Understanding of weld quality, tolerances and fabrication standards

* Strong attention to detail

* Reliable, organised and able to follow established quality processes

* Good communication and teamwork skills
