Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, Goodwood – Level 3 Vehicle damage:
Test and Finish – 3 Year Apprenticeship (August 2026)

Responsibilities

Technical Training within our Test and finish department is the ideal starting point for anyone wanting to become a multi-skilled technician, with training that will take you through the many areas of vehicle manufacturing. To make the most of being a vehicle damage apprentice, you’ll need to be someone with plenty of questions about how things work and have the confidence to seek out the answers.

As a Rolls-Royce vehicle damage Apprentice, you will be attending college on a part-time basis and you will also follow a placement plan spending time within various areas of Assembly. The three-year programme is designed to enable you to experience different aspects of engineering and production technology. Our vehicle technicians have the following responsibilities:

  • Rectification of mechanical, electrical, and trim components using the defined processes whilst ensuring customer expectations are achieved.
  • Determine root cause of problems and feedback causing factors to Process Supporter.
  • Identify causes of component failure and determine process owner.
  • Identify potential improvements to process.
  • Use of efficient working practices to maintain on time delivery.
  • Regular monitoring of tooling and facilities ensuring product quality is achieved.
  • Support the documentation and resolution of problems.

With hard work and commitment, you will develop specialist technical knowledge supported by the relevant qualifications in Manufacturing and Engineering.

Qualifications
  • GCSE Maths & English at a 4 or C Grade
  • You need to be able to work independently and within a team.
  • You will be required to work using your own initiative.
  • The ability to listen and absorb information is essential.
