MIG Welder – Manufacturing Environment

We are currently recruiting experienced MIG Welders who take pride in producing high-quality work in a dynamic manufacturing setting.

Location:

Leicester (LE4)

Working Hours:

06.00 – 14.30 Monday to Thursday, Friday 06.00 – 11.30

14.30 – 10.30pm. Monday to Thursday, Friday 11.30 – 5.00pm

Pay Rate: £14.50 per hour  Contract Type:
Temp to Perm

Role Overview :

Welding high quality components including setting up and operating a range of tooling and machinery, e.g. welders (tig, mig etc.), punches etc.
Welding components by using equipment to clean, prepare, cut, burn, and weld pieces; setting up and measuring assemblies; selecting appropriate method of working
Must be able to read welding drawings and specifications
Complete work documents and records
Maintain a safe working environment, follow H&S procedures, and comply with legal regulations
Ensure work equipment is used appropriately by following operating instructions; troubleshoot breakdowns; perform preventative maintenance
Meet quality targets and maintain high quality standards
✅ Requirements:

Minimum Level 2 NVQ/Indentured Apprenticeship or equivalent
Previous experience in a similar role
Welding qualification desirable
Good numeracy skills
Essential - must be able to read and interpret drawings
Capable of working on own initiative
