About the Role
They are seeking a skilled Bench Hand Joiner to join the workshop team. This is a hands-on position suited to an experienced craftsperson who takes pride in producing high-quality bespoke joinery and cabinetry.
You will be responsible for manufacturing items from detailed technical drawings, ensuring accuracy, efficiency and the highest standards of finish. This is a role for someone who understands traditional joinery principles but is equally comfortable working within modern production environments.
Key Responsibilities
Manufacture bespoke joinery items including cabinets, counters, displays, and specialist furniture
Work from technical drawings and cutting lists with precision
Assemble, glue, clamp and finish components to specification
Operate workshop machinery safely (e.g. panel saws, spindle moulders, edge banders, CNC where required)
Conduct quality checks throughout the build process
Maintain a clean and organised workspace
Work to production schedules and meet agreed deadlines
Collaborate effectively with colleagues, supervisors and other departments
About You
Proven experience as a Bench Hand Joiner (minimum 3-5 years preferred)
Strong understanding of traditional and modern joinery techniques
Ability to read and interpret detailed technical drawings
Experience working with solid timber, veneers, laminates and sheet materials
Confident operating woodworking machinery
High attention to detail and quality standards
Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
Relevant qualifications (NVQ Level 2/3 in Carpentry & Joinery or equivalent) desirableApply
