Job Title - CNC Machinist

Location - Leicester

Salary - Up to £37,000

Shift Pattern - LEN Shift

The successful CNC Machinist will be responsible for setting, operating, and maintaining CNC machinery to manufacture precision‑engineered metal components to high quality standards. You will be working within a fast‑paced engineering environment, producing precision components while ensuring all products meet strict quality and specification requirements.

Sector - Precision Engineering / Manufacturing

• Demonstrated experience in CNC machining and/or a strong academic background in engineering, ideally supported by a recognised machining apprenticeship
• Previous experience working with metal components
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Proficient in conducting self‑inspection of machined components using manual measurement tools
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards

• Experience setting and operating CNC machinery
• Knowledge of precision machining techniques
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• Understanding of engineering tolerances and specifications
• Experience working within a manufacturing or engineering environment

• Additional Grinding Machinery experience
• Additional EDM (Electrical Discharge Machinery) experience
• Experience with multi‑axis CNC machines would be advantageous
• Knowledge of continuous improvement processes
