About the Role

They are looking for a motivated and hands-on Trainee Woodworker to join their team, with full training provided to become a skilled Veneerer through their in-house structured training programme.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in high-quality woodworking and craftsmanship.

What is Veneering?

Veneering is a specialist woodworking technique where thin layers of high-quality wood (veneer) are carefully applied and bonded onto a base material (such as MDF or plywood).

This process allows the creation of premium, decorative finishes that showcase natural wood grains, patterns, and textures, often used in luxury furniture, interiors, and bespoke joinery.

Key Responsibilities

Learn and assist in the veneering process under skilled craftsmen
Prepare wood surfaces and materials for veneering
Cut, match, and lay veneer sheets to create precise patterns and finishes
Operate woodworking tools and machinery safely
Assist in pressing, bonding, and finishing veneer products
Carry out quality checks to ensure high standards are met
Maintain a clean and safe working environment

About You

Interest in woodworking, craftsmanship, or manufacturing
Good attention to detail and willingness to learn
Practical, hands-on approach
Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
Reliable, punctual, and motivated

No previous experience required - full training will be provided.
