Leicester | £60,000 - £80,000 + 10-20% bonus
The CompanyOur client is a family‑owned manufacturing business supplying plastic moulded components into industries including automotive, aerospace, power and medical. With a team of 40+ employees, the business supports customers across the UK, EU and USA. Around 70% of its products are bespoke, reflecting its strong engineering and customer‑focused approach. Following growth from £3m to £4m turnover in the last year, the company has ambitious plans to reach circa £7m within the next five years.
Responsibilities- Lead and optimise production planning to improve OTIF performance and customer delivery levels
- Drive Lean and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste, scrap, cycle times and the cost of poor quality
- Review and develop quality systems, processes and supplier performance to enhance operational excellence
- Coach, develop and performance‑manage the leadership team, introducing a structured appraisal and development framework
- Shape future operational strategy, including plant capability reviews and CAPEX planning aligned to business growth
- Foster a positive, accountable culture focused on continuous improvement, employee engagement and health & safety leadership
- Proven manufacturing leadership experience with a track record of driving operational improvements and career progression
- Collaborative, coaching‑led management style with the ability to engage teams and drive cultural change
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills, using data to improve performance and decision‑making
- Practical Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement experience with a focus on delivering results
- Ability to develop people, create accountability and build high‑performing teams.
- On target earning potential of £70,000 - £95,000 per annum
