We are currently supporting a well‑established manufacturing business based in Thurmaston, Leicester who are looking to add an electrically biased Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer to their engineering team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a stable, well‑invested manufacturing site where engineers are trusted to take ownership of maintenance and improvement activities across the plant.
The role operates on a double‑day shift pattern (6 am–2 pm / 2 pm–10 pm) with one week of nights every five weeks. The night‑shift week consists of four 8‑hour shifts, providing a balanced and manageable rotation.
The RoleYou will be responsible for supporting the site through a mixture of reactive maintenance, planned preventive maintenance and continuous improvement activity. Working closely with production teams, you will play a key role in ensuring machinery uptime and driving reliability across the facility.
Typical responsibilities include:- Electrical and mechanical fault finding on manufacturing equipment.
- Supporting PPM schedules and planned engineering work.
- Diagnosing faults on motors, sensors, drives, relays and control systems.
- Working with production teams to minimise downtime and improve performance.
- Supporting continuous improvement and reliability initiatives across the site.
We’re keen to speak with engineers who have experience within manufacturing or production environments, ideally with a strong electrical skillset.
You will ideally have:
- Experience fault finding on three‑phase electrical systems.
- Strong problem‑solving ability within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
- A proactive attitude towards maintenance and reliability.
- Electrical qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds / HNC or equivalent would be advantageous.
- £48,000 basic salary.
