Are you an experienced CAD Technician/ Draughtsperson?

Regional Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Technical Draughtsperson to join a market leading heavy plant machinery company based in Leicester. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a growing organisation, ensuring high quality engineering drawings and concepts are manufactured and produced.

Qualifications

Essential:

Previous experience as a Technical Draughtsperson, CAD Technician or Design Draughtsperson
Strong experience producing 2D manufacturing and fabrication drawings
Proficient with AutoCAD or a similar 2D CAD package
Experience creating detailed drawings for fabricated and machined components
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
Understanding of fabrication and manufacturing processes
Excellent attention to detail with a methodical approach to work
Desirable:

Experience with in heavy engineering, plant machinery, structural steel or bespoke manufacturing
Exposure to sheet metal and fabrication design
Knowledge of manufacturing tolerances and Design for Manufacture (DFM)
Experience working alongside fabrication or machine shop teams

Roles & Responsibilities

Producing detailed 2D manufacturing and fabrication drawings for the workshop
Creating accurate component drawings from engineering designs
Preparing manufacturing packs for bespoke fabricated parts
Working closely with Design Engineers, Project Engineers and the fabrication team
Ensuring drawings are suitable for manufacture and comply with company standards
Updating existing drawings and producing revisions where required
Supporting continuous improvements within the drawing office
Liasing with production to resolve manufacturing queries  
Requirements

As a Technical Draughtsperson, you will also be expected to:

Maintain a clean, safe and organised workspace in line with company health and safety policies
