Fabrication Supervisor required for growing sheet metal business in Leicester

Robertson Recruitment is currently recruiting an experienced Fabrication Supervisor to join a well-established manufacturing business. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong people manager with sheet metal fabrication experience to take responsibility for a busy fabrication department.

You will organise, plan and manage the departments workload, ensuring labour, machinery, materials and job information are available to meet production schedules. You will also maintain high standards across quality, safety, cost and delivery.

Working hours

Monday to Friday

07:30am - 16:00pm

Key responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop the fabrication team.
• Plan and allocate workloads to achieve production and delivery targets.
• Check job packs, technical drawings, revisions, materials and component quantities before production begins.
• Ensure fabricated products meet customer specifications.
• Carry out in-process quality inspections and minimise defects and rework.
• Check jobs are complete before they move to the next manufacturing department.
