Trainee Butchers – AM Shift
Location: Leicester, LE1
Shift: 6:00am – 2:00pm
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday
Positions Available: 6
Start Date: Immediate
Pay Rate: £13.42 per hour
Experience: No previous butchery experience required
Quest Employment are recruiting on behalf of a well-established food manufacturing business based in Leicester, LE1, and we are looking for 6 Trainee Butchers to join their team.

No previous butchery experience is required – full training will be provided to candidates who demonstrate the right attitude and willingness to learn.
The business forms part of a long-established family-owned food group. Its Leicester operation specialises in premium cooked meats and sausages and is also the UK's largest producer of pâté. The site has a strong reputation for quality, traditional expertise and modern food manufacturing.
The RoleAs a Trainee Butcher, you will receive training and support while developing practical skills within a professional food manufacturing environment.
Your duties may include:
- Learning and developing basic butchery and meat preparation skills.
- Preparing and handling meat in line with company procedures.
- Learning to use butchery equipment safely and correctly.
- Working to strict food safety, hygiene and quality standards.
- Following production specifications and processes.
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and personal hygiene.
- Working efficiently to meet production requirements.
- Supporting experienced butchers and the wider production team.
- Carrying out tasks safely and in accordance with site procedures.
- Developing your skills and knowledge through on-the-job training.
Previous butchery or food manufacturing experience is not essential.

A background in food production, manufacturing, warehouse work, hospitality or similar environments would be useful, but is not required
