Leicester | £42K + Unlimited Overtime (OTE £50K+)

Are you an experienced Maintenance Engineer?

Regional Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Engineer (mechanically bias) to join a busy manufacturing environment based in Leicester. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a growing plastic recycling organisation, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and all machinery are efficient.

Qualifications
Essential:
  • A minimum of 3 years' maintenance engineering experience
  • A strong mechanical maintenance background
  • A strong electrical maintenance background
  • Experience working within a manufacturing, production, recycling or industrial environment
  • Strong fault-finding and breakdown experience
  • Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, gearboxes, bearings and conveyors
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A proactive approach to maintenance and problem-solving
Desirable:
  • Full UK Driving License
  • Level 3 (or Equivalent) in Mechanical/ Electrical Maintenance
Roles & Responsibilities
  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance across the site
  • Responding to mechanical and electrical breakdowns and carrying out repairs
  • Fault finding and diagnosing issues with production and manufacturing equipment
  • Maintaining and repairing conveyors, motors, gearboxes, bearings, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Supporting continuous improvement and reliability initiatives
  • Working closely with production teams to minimise downtime
  • Ensuring all maintenance work is completed safely and to a high standard
  • Assisting with installation and improvement projects when required

  • As a Maintenance Engineer, you will also be expected to:
