Skilled Production Operative

Would you like to join us as a Preparation Operative? You will work as part of the Preparation team. You will help prepare and handle ingredients and products for the production lines. You will work in a chilled area and follow set processes to make sure ingredients are prepared safely and to the right quality standard. Teamwork, food safety, and attention to detail are key parts of the role.

The role is labour intensive and involves a lot of manual handling.

• Prepare ingredients for production
• Collect ingredients and materials from the correct storage areas
• Follow recipes, work instructions, and set processes
• Weigh and prepare ingredients to the correct specification
• Move ingredients and products safely around the Prep area
• Load and unload trays, containers, and equipment as needed
• Complete paperwork and records clearly and accurately when needed
• Follow strict rules of stock rotation, food safety, hygiene and health and safety rules
• Support other tasks in the Preparation area when needed

You’ll bring the following skills and experience:

• Experience in food production would be an advantage
• Experience working in a chilled or cold environment would be useful
• Able to follow recipes, instructions, and set processes
• Comfortable working with food products and production equipment
• Able to handle heavy loads
