Electronic Assembler
Leicester LE2
£14.50 - £15.50 per hour
Monday to Thursday: 08:00 - 16:30 | Friday: 08:00 - 12:15
6-12 Month Contract
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electronic Assembler to join a leading electronics manufacturing business based in Leicester LE2. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with PCB assembly, soldering or electronics manufacturing experience seeking a long-term contract position with an early finish every Friday.
The RoleWorking within a quality-driven production environment, you will be responsible for modifying Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) while following detailed technical drawings and written instructions. A high level of accuracy, attention to detail and commitment to quality is essential.
Key Responsibilities- Modifying and assembling Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs)
- Identifying and handling miniature surface-mount components
- Removing and replacing SMT components using specialist tweezers and tools
- Carrying out varnishing procedures in line with specifications
- Reading and following technical drawings and written instructions
- Ensuring all work meets strict quality standards
- Working closely with technicians and engineers to resolve production issues
- Previous experience within electronic assembly or PCB assembly
- Ability to identify electronic components and understand component polarity
- Experience working with surface mount components (SMT)
- Strong attention to detail and excellent hand-eye coordination
- Understanding of Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) procedures
- Knowledge of IPC-A-610 and IPC-J-STD-001 standards would be advantageous
- Ability to work accurately within a fast-paced manufacturing environment
