Historic England has a fantastic opportunity for you to join us as our Internal Communications Officer.
This is a full time permanent contract position.
The location of this role is national, inclusive with hybrid working. You will be based in one of our following offices and from home - Newcastle, York, Manchester, Birmingham, Swindon, Bristol, Portsmouth (Fort Cumberland) and Cambridge.

What you will be doingAs our Internal Communications Officer, you will support the delivery of Historic England’s Internal Communications Strategy. Our Internal Communications goal is to convene conversation and share information to create a well-connected internal community who have pride in their organisation. You will play an important role in bringing the vision and values of the organisation to life, in a way that engages and inspires colleagues to contribute towards our success.
Whowe are looking for
- Experience of writing and creating audience-led content
- Experience of translating complex information into content suitable for a wide audience
- Experience of editing content for web and using intranets/Content Management Systems
- Experience of working in internal or external communications
- Experience of collaborating with a range of partners, internal or external
- Experience of using email marketing systems
