The Borgen Project aims to place poverty in focus of U.S., Canadian and U.K. foreign policy by advocating at the political level to improve living conditions for people affected by war, famine and poverty. The organisation has over 20 years of experience in the advocacy space and supports the passage of bills benefiting people in developing countries.
Are you passionate about making a difference in the world? The Borgen Project is an international organisation that works at the political level to improve living conditions for people impacted by war, famine and poverty.
Responsibilities- Leading public and political outreach in your state and district.
- Meeting with members of Congress and government officials in your state/district/constituency.
- Representing The Borgen Project at various business, political and community events.
- Assisting with fundraising by creating a personal fundraising campaign and meeting targets.
- Mobilizing individuals to contact their government representatives in support of key poverty-reduction legislation.
- Speaking to groups, classes and organizations.
- Writing letters of support for key programs to political leaders, media and other groups.
No prior experience is necessary; we are looking for people who are passionate about fighting poverty and righting wrongs, regardless of GPA/background.
DetailsThis is an unpaid programme, although college credit is available.
