About the Role
We are looking to speak with proactive Communities Officers who are passionate about resident engagement, community development and improving the areas in which people live.
Working within a housing association, local authority or community-focused organisation, you will help strengthen relationships with residents, support local initiatives and ensure communities have a voice in the services affecting them.
Key Responsibilities
* Build positive relationships with residents, community groups and local stakeholders.
* Organise resident meetings, community events and engagement activities.
* Encourage resident participation in consultations and local improvement projects.
* Identify community needs and work with partners to develop appropriate initiatives.
* Support neighbourhood improvement, inclusion and community cohesion.
* Signpost residents to relevant services, advice and support.
* Gather resident feedback and contribute to service improvement plans.
* Work collaboratively with Housing Officers, local authorities, charities and voluntary organisations.
About You
* Experience in community engagement, housing, resident involvement or a similar role.
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
* Confident engaging with people from diverse backgrounds.
* Ability to organise events, coordinate projects and manage competing priorities.
* A proactive, approachable and community-focused attitude.
