As a Staff Nurse on the Elective Surgical Ward at our Leicester Hospital, you will play a key role in delivering high‑quality patient care. You must be registered with the appropriate governing body (e.g., NMC) and hold all relevant qualifications and post‑registration experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Be flexible, motivated, an excellent communicator and team worker
• Join a close‑knit team headed by our matron on a consultant‑led ward
• Fully understand and pay close attention to each patient’s needs
• Work directly with senior clinical staff and support staff to provide comprehensive care
• Collaborate with practitioners across other departments to ensure continuity in patient care

Essential Qualifications and Experience

• Registered nurse with the appropriate governing body (e.g., NMC)
• Post‑registration experience in a hospital setting
• Strong understanding of patient assessment, care planning and clinical procedures
• Ability to work shift patterns including evenings, nights and weekends
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
