Overview
Quality Inspector with an extensive knowledge of and background in the automotive industry, required to join a well-established leading Manufacturer and Provider of Sheet Metal Engineering Services. As Quality Inspector, successful candidate would be responsible for ensuring that product quality fully meets customer and company requirements; ensuring customer and company quality requirements are maintained throughout production life and maintaining effective communication throughout the business to ensure a robust QMS is implemented and maintained.
Responsibilities- Perform final inspections on predominately automotive components and assemblies
- Use measurement tools such as callipers, gauges, and other precision instruments to verify specifications
- Identify, document, and report non-conformities and defects; support root-cause analysis and corrective actions
- Conduct visual, dimensional, and functional inspections following established procedures
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to ensure continuous improvement
- Maintain accurate inspection records and documentation in compliance with IATF 16949 and AS9100 standards
- Support audits, process validations and customer requirements when needed
- Ensure compliance with safety policies
- Picking and packing where required
- Practical engineering experience in an automotive manufacturing environment
- Previous experience as Quality Inspector
- Attention to detail and proficient communication - written and verbal
Location:
Kings Norton, West Midlands
Hours of Work:
Mon to Thurs 7am to 4pm, Fri 7am to 1pm
Salary: £14 to £15 per hour (dependent upon experience)
